It's no secret that I love trains.

I have my dad to thank for that, he's a model railroader and also an avid train watcher.

Ever since I was a little kid we'd go to different train stations, train yards, or even just train tracks and watch the trains pass us by.

He also has a pretty nice model railroad display set up in his basement. HO scale is, in our opinion, the best scale for model railroading.

Any chance I get to look at trains, or model railroads I jump at.

Even the other night this show I've been watching on Hulu, Solar Opposites, did an entire sub plot where the main character got really deep into model railroading and it was my favorite episode to date.

New Jersey has some pretty cool activities if you're into trains, be sure to check out the rails in Allaire State Park, so I'm not surprised one of the greatest model railroad displays around opened up not too far from the Jersey Shore.

The Great Train Set at the Liberty Science Center

According to My Central Jersey, John Scully became fascinated with the world of trains at an early age.

He spent years recreating the Lackawanna Railroad in his New York home and all of that hard work is now being donated for thousands to enjoy.

The 3,000 square foot set includes over 400 feet of train track, as well as incredibly detailed models of the town, people, forests, and more.

It's being dubbed The Great Train Set and it's on display now at the Liberty Science Center.

The display is included with the cost of your general admission ticket, and the attention to detail within the display is amazing.
