The Axelrod Performing Arts Center in Deal invites you to see a show with some well-known Broadway stars and some of the best songs you've ever heard in a musical!

What makes this show even better is the fact that some of these stars are coming back to NJ, their home, after making names for themselves on the Great White Way!

Leading the cast of Guys and Dolls as Nathan Detroit is Toms River native Jared Gertner, whose Broadway credits include leading roles in "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" and "The Book of Mormon." In fact, Jared opened "Mormon" in London and received a prestigious Olivier award nomination for his portrayal of Elder Cunningham.

Both Jared and co-star Jenny Hill (who plays the long-suffering Miss Adelaide and is also a NJ native) got their start in regional theater in Lakewood.

Between the entertaining dance numbers, the unforgettable score, and the book's hilarity, Guys and Dolls is as fun and enjoyable as it was when it first debuted.

The cast also features other local actors including Rutledge Varley (from Allenhurst) as Lt. Brannigan, Mark Megill (from Manasquan) as Arvide, and Brendan Doyle (from Wall) as Nicely Nicely.

This wonderful musical opens tonight and runs through Nov. 17th at the Axelrod PAC, 100 Grant Ave., Deal --  a gem of a theatre here at the Jersey Shore!
