Local Student Finalists Need Your Votes for Best Performance

The Axelrod Performing Arts Center is honoring those who didn't get a chance to perform in their high school musicals with this online scholarship award competition to find the best stars of their would-be shows. Now the finalists in each category have been chosen and it's time for you to vote!

The Inaugural NJ High School AXE Awards received 72 submissions for nomination from high school students in our area from 32 high schools in Monmouth, Ocean, and Middlesex Counties.

Students who have made it to the finals are from high schools including: Point Pleasant, Ocean Township, Long Branch, St. Rose, Shore Regional, Holmdel, RBR, Ranney, OCVTS, Momouth Regional, Middletown South, RBC, High School North, Colts Neck, Matawan Aberdeen Regional, Jackson Memorial, Howell, Wall, and more!

You can vote for one person in each of these categories: Best Actor in a Musical, Best Actress in a Musical, Best Supporting Actor in a Musical, Best Supporting Actress in a Musical, Best Non-Senior Actor, and Best Non-Senior Actress.

Cabaret for Life is the fabulous local non-profit providing the winners with scholarship money.
