We are all about to embark upon the heart of the holiday season, and that means parties and get-togethers all over Monmouth & Ocean Counties.

You can't walk into someone's home empty-handed. You have to bring something nice. After all, it is the holiday season. So, what should you bring?  Personally, I am sick of just bringing a bottle of wine that was in my wine rack for 7 years because I didn't want it. Oh, don't act so surprised. You've done it, too. And if you haven't done it, I promise, you've had it done to you.

So, this year I wanted to break the mold. I want to be able to bring something that the host or hostess will actually appreciate, and might even serve. I want to be the bringer of the item that's the hit of someone else's party.

So, I turned to my friend Lisa Porada, owner and Executive Pastry Chef at the legendary Chocolate Carousel on Belmar Blvd. in Wall to give a few suggestions for great treats to bring to your holiday party. No one is more expert to do this than she is. And she didn't just give me a few suggestions. She gave us a Top 10. Awesome!

So, I absolutely had to share it with you. Here it is. Enjoy!
