How Does Bon Jovi Rank Among Most Popular Rock Bands?

You may have Bon Jovi ranked as your favorite rock band of all time, but they are not, at least according to one publication.

The website 24/7 Wall St.set out to determine the most popular rock band of all time, no easy task, and when it comes to New Jersey's rock band, Bon Jovi, they did well, but not as well as you might have thought.

Bon Jovi gets our vote every time here in the Garden State, and with good reason. They are members of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, have sold over 130 million records, ranking them among the best of all time.

They put on incredible live shows, have literally owned decades of the music scene and have had an impact on two generations of fans. So, with all that and more on their resume, how does 24/7 Wall St rank them?

How does #15 of all time sound? With all things considered, that's pretty amazing right? But, for some reason, when I heard that, I thought they should have been higher.

They rank behind bands like Guns N' Roses, The Rolling Stones and the Beatles, and I clearly have no problem with that. But is that Maroon 5 I see at #14? Is that Maroon 5 ranked higher on the all time most popular rock bands list?

According to 24/7 Wall St., the method they used to determine the rankings included things like "record sales, Billboard performance, Wikipedia page views, and popularity on the online streaming platform Spotify".

I guess when you put and other data together that all together, things look good for Maroon 5. At least a little better than our beloved Bon Jovi. clearly, I'm not so sure about the Maroon 5 thing, but in my opinion, the rest of the list looks pretty good, except for the fact that the E Street Band didn't make the list at all.

And after all, being the # 15 most popular rock band of all time isn't a bad thing at all.  So congrats to Bon Jovi for another honor!
