How does the Garden State rank nationally when it comes to the best place for teachers in America?

That is exactly what Wallet Hub wanted to find out, and with World Teachers' Day just around the corner, they just revealed their 2018 results, and as it turns out, New Jersey did not do badly at all.

Here are some of the highlights of their findings. Overall, the Garden State is ranked a pretty impressive 8th in the nation. And there are some other pretty impressive rankings as well.

6th in average starting salary for teachers (adjusted for cost of living).

2nd in quality of school system.

4th in pupil-teacher ratio.

6th in teacher safety.
