There have been a lot of things New Jersey has been accused of being over the years. The smell, the attitude, the driving, the traffic, the finger are all well known parts of our reputation. But greedy?

Do you think New Jersey is a greedy state? I'd never really thought of it before, but now that the question has been posed, I'd say absolutely not. As a matter of fact, I'd say the opposite.

I think New Jersey is full of the most generous people I know, so the thought that we'd rank highly on the greedy state lit doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. But let's see what the study says.

BestLife did the research and after considering things like the number of billionaires in New Jersey, something called the Gini Coefficient level and the WalletHub Most Sinful States greed rank, they determined that the Garden State is the 26th most greedy state in America.

Or to put a positive spin on things, and we can all use a little more of that, New Jersey is in the top half of the least greedy states in America. I like the way that sounds even better. By the way, Utah is the least greedy state, and Nevada is the greediest.

And as for our billionaires among us here in New Jersey, it looks like we have seven, according to ROI. That's a lot of money in one little state. They have a combined net worth  of nearly $21 billion. Yes, with a "b".

So, overall, I'm pretty proud of us for living in a state with all that money and not a whole lot of greed. Good for us, New Jersey.
