Italian Summer – Cocktail of the Week
A beautiful weekend on the way calls for a beautiful cocktail.
I find that many people don't appreciate amaretto enough. It's a sweet almond flavored liqueur, and if you ask me, there's only DiSaronno. Accept no substitutions.
Italian Summer combines the almondy goodness of amaretto with the tropical standards that make us all of think of a warm day in the sun.
Ingredients:
- 1 oz. Amaretto DiSaronno
- 1 oz. white rum
- 2 oz. pineapple juice
- 2 oz. orange juice
Shake all ingredients over ice and pour into a highball glass. Garnish with a cherry, pineapple wedge, and a badass pair of shades.
Switch it up:
Use cranberry juice instead of orange.
Use vodka instead of rum.
Is it summer yet?
