I've done a lot of driving around Ocean County the past few days while filming different local pizzerias for 105.7 The Hawk's Pizza Playoffs, powered by Bova Foods, and I think I may have found the worst road at the shore to have to drive on, specifically at rush hour.

Driving Around The Shore Is Always A Headache For Drivers

Granted, I know for a fact there are a lot of roads near the Shore that drive people crazy; they may be covered in potholes, or have so many traffic lights that it takes you 20 minutes to go a mile and a half. I get it, driving around Jersey is not exactly what you'd call fun,

But I'm pretty sure there's one road that takes the cake, and after driving down it yesterday at rush hour, I feel like I can confidently crown this road as the worst at the Shore.

The road stretches through a busy part of Brick, and nothing against Brick, that's where a lot of the shore's best restaurants are; there's always an insane amount of traffic in that area, and driving around Brick, you can sometimes feel like you're taking your life in your hands.

Here's Why Brick Boulevard Is The Worst Road In NJ To Get Stuck On

For me, I was driving down Hooper, and went to the point where Hooper turns into Brick Boulevard, near the Stop and Shop there, and I'm pretty sure it took me nearly half an hour to make my way down Brick Boulevard Route 70.

What Makes Brick Boulevard In NJ Such A Bad Road At Rush Hour?

Lanes are constantly merging, people are pulling into and out of shopping centers, and for whatever reason, it's always totally clogged and backed up.

Was it 5:30 in the evening? Yes. Was it rush hour? Of course. Is the road always that packed? No, but if you hit it at the right time, as I did, it's easily the worst stretch of road at the shore.
