
Toms River Little League Softball Beats Japan 11-0 To Advance at the World Series
The young ladies from Toms River were facing elimination at the Little League Softball World Series in Greenville, North Carolina, on Wednesday, so it was win or head back to Jersey.

The girls answered the call with an impressive win of the Asia-Pacific Champs from Japan with an 11-0 shutout win. Toms River had lost to Japan earlier in the tournament, but came back yesterday to post the win.
The girls from the Garden State will play Friday against the loser of Puerto Rico vs. Kentucky.

Every summer, some of the best young softball players around get the chance to live out a dream at the Little League Softball World Series. Teams of 10-, 11-, and 12-year-olds battle through district, state, and regional tournaments for the opportunity to play in Greenville, North Carolina, where a world championship is on the line.
The tournament has been bringing together talented players since 1974, and it's amazing to see the skill, heart, and determination these kids bring to the field. From big home runs to incredible catches and unforgettable finishes, there's always something exciting happening.
