Sex crimes are heinous.  They often cause physical and mental trauma that lasts a lifetime.  When these crimes occur, they become high-priority cases for authorities.

Although the perpetrators may be difficult to find, authorities never give up.

The FBI is currently seeking to locate and capture one individual who allegedly committed sex crimes in New Jersey in the early 2000s.  He remains at large, and authorities are not giving up their search.

According to the FBI,

Angel Gonzalez is wanted for allegedly sexually assaulting several young female victims in New Jersey between 1999 and 2006. For all of these assaults, Gonzalez has been charged multiple times in the Newark Municipal Court, Newark, New Jersey, with First Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault, Second Degree Sexual Assault by Sexual Contact, and Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child. On February 8, 2010, a federal arrest warrant was issued for Gonzalez in the United States District Court, District of New Jersey, Newark, New Jersey, after he was charged with Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution.

The FBI is asking that if you have information that can help locate this alleged perpetrator, please call the FBI at (973) 792-3000 or call 9-1-1.

Gonzalez is wanted for heinous crimes and you should not attempt to approach or confront him.

The FBI is offering a reward up to $5,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of Gonzalez.
