Get ready, New Jersey, because Chizza is making its debut at a KFC near you.

What the @%&UC&*% Is Chizza?

KFC calls its mix of fried chicken and pizza, Chizza, as "an unexpected, mouthwatering meal.  It's not pizza, it's Chizza: two 100% white meat Extra Crispy™ fried chicken filets topped with zesty marinara sauce, melty mozzarella cheese, and crispy pepperoni."

My question is, would you eat it?

KFC's Chizza Hits New Jersey

Chizza makes its American debut on Monday, Feb 26, "for a limited time".

I always wonder if the time is limited by when they just can't keep up with the demand or by when the curious people try it and decide they made a big mistake.

KFC Calls Chizza 'an International Smash Hit'

It turns out that Chizza isn't new at all. It's just new to American fast-food chicken eaters.

Chizza first debuted on KFC menus in the Philippines in 2015 and since then the KFC exclusive has made its way around the world to Korea, Taiwan, Germany, Spain, and Mexico,  among other countries.

So, that means we have actual reviews from the rest of the world to turn to for the honest and sometimes amusing truth about Chizza.

International Reviews of KFC's Chizza

Japan: "As the promo picture indicates, Chizza isn't the most pleasant sight. You probably won't be prepared for the smell that wafts your way, a combination of old oil and faint spice. Every bite of Chizza showed me that regret does indeed have a taste."

Singapore: "Chizza is like a chicken parmesan that makes you want to run away from abusive nuns and join a gang of 19th-century pickpockets with endearingly ragged clothes, beguiling sing-a-longs and dusty top hats. It's heavy, greasy, oily, miserable and forlorn." Ouch!

Korea: "The chicken is deep fried in the deep fryers of despair; the pizza is then baked on top of it in the Kentucky Fried kilns of sorrow."

Thailand: "This unholy love child of fried chicken and pizza replaces the pizza dough with a big, fried chicken filet topped off with pizza sauce. While I actually like it, it reminded me of something that your drunk roommate would make at 3 am."
