Camden County, NJ, Man Admits Having 45,000 Child Porn Files
A man from Camden County has admitted to having a large collection of child porn pictures and videos.
On Wednesday in federal court in Camden, 71-year-old Robert Giles of Collingswood pleaded guilty to an indictment charging him with one count of possession of child pornography.
Federal authorities say on April 15th, 2022, FBI agents executed a search warrant at Giles' home and seized electronic devices.
A forensic examination of those devices revealed over 45,000 unique files containing videos and images of children being sexually abused.
Giles now faces up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
Sentencing is scheduled for November 29th.
U.S. Attorney Philip Sellinger thanked the FBI and the Collingswood Police Department for their work in this case.
