Grammy Award-winner, Bleachers frontman, and proud New Jersey native Jack Antonoff is no stranger to the Asbury Park music scene. Each year, Antonoff ends the summer with a festival that brings together the newest and greatest artists from across all genres.

With past acts featuring the likes of Charli XCX, Vic Mensa, The 1975, and Carly Rae Jepsen, the lineup is a who's who of breaking artists.

2017's lineup is putting a slight twist on the formula, with an extra emphasis on New Jersey talent. Brian Fallon (The Gaslight Anthem), Titus Andronicus, Brick + Mortar, and Nicole Atkins, all hailing from the Garden State, will share the stage with Antonoff's own Bleachers, plus Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness, Khalid, and Tove Styrke.

In addition to the music, the festival will be partnering with various local businesses that will be providing special tie-ins leading up to Shadow of the City. Though the details are not ready for an official announcement, we got a sneak peek, and they are mouth-watering.

Antonoff spent Wednesday afternoon in Asbury Park getting ready for the festival and exploring the historic town. He sat down with us inside the Stone Pony to talk about the festival, local music, and the state he grew up in.
