A humongous thank you to everyone who made sure to stop at Jersey Mikes during the month of March for their Annual Month of Giving and donated to the Make A Wish New Jersey.

The efforts to help kids with critical illnesses was highlighted on March 27th for their Annual Jersey Mike's Day Of Giving which is a day that the franchise donates 100 percent of sales (not just profits) made for the entire day to Make-A-Wish New Jersey.

Make a Wish Foundation aims to, "create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. A wish helps kids look past their limitations, families overcome anxiety and entire communities experience joy. Most importantly, [granting] wishes can improve a child's quality of life," according to a press release.

“A wish creates an opportunity for hope and the ability to experience life beyond illness,” shared Tom Weatherall, President & CEO of Make-A-Wish New Jersey. “Our friends at Jersey Mike’s Subs and their loyal fan base have shown us - yet again - they understand the impact of a wish, in their excitement and generosity during the Month of Giving.”

Well let's just say that New Jersey stepped their game up because this year, the total amount of money that was raised during Jersey Mike's Month of Giving is:

$458,700

This kind of money will be able to grant wishes for nearly 50 children in New Jersey within the next few months which is an amazing outcome. And give yourself a pat on the bat because if you went to Jersey Mikes on 3/27, than you are a part of it!

“I would like to thank our extraordinary customers, franchise owners, team members and charity partners who helped us raise the most ever during Jersey Mike’s 9th Annual Month of Giving in March,” said Peter Cancro, Jersey Mike’s founder and CEO.  “Our mission statement has always been focused on making a difference in people’s lives..”

Since 2010, Jersey Mike's Day of Giving has been responsible for over $34 million being donated for some great local charity partners and they clearly show no sign of slowing down.

That is all for now but for more information, visit nj.wish.org or JerseyMikes.com and we will see you next year with a Jersey Mike's sandwich in-hand for their next Day of Giving!
