Walk to End Alzheimer's

The Southern Regional New Jersey Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association is gearing up for their Walk to End Alzheimer's.

This cause is very important to me, and the Point team needs your help!

I lost my Grandma, Frances Esposito in March 2008 after a battle with Alzheimer's.

It's heartbreaking to see someone you love, someone who used to be so full of life, shrink away and become a shell of their former self.

In the beginning, she would just confuse names, calling me by my cousins' names...but soon it was clear that she didn't know who I was. She would tell stories about me to her friends when I was there...but the stories would actually be about things my mother did as a kid, not me.

I watched as she struggled, not wanting to eat, not knowing what was going on around her.

I watched as Mama C tried her best to take care of her...and tried to make sure my Grandpa was still taking care of himself.

I watched for years as Alzheimer's broke everyone down...and I don't want anyone else to have to watch it happen.

So let's fight. Let's raise money for research. Let's get rid of this killer.

I would LOVE to have as many people as possible join my team and help raise money...we had a few listeners on last year's team, and we really had a great time (and raised a ton of money!)

There are vendors, tables, guest speakers, and more. It's an inspirational day...please join us!

Let's walk to end this horrific disease. Thanks.
