The Polar Bear Plunge at Seaside will be happening in April 2021 but you can already register! All plungers are required to raise the plunge minimum based on their registration date. If you register now through February 28th the plunge minimum is $100. After February 28th, your plunge minimum will be raised by $10. At the end of the day, no matter what, this is a fantastic opportunity for individuals, teams, organizations, and businesses to support Special Olympics New Jersey. The goal is to raise $1,200,000 and all proceeds of the event will do wonderful things. With five months to still raise money, the event has already raised over $19,000. The money raised will provide free year-round sports training and athletic competition in 24 Olympic-type sports for more than 26,000 individuals with intellectual disabilities.

The polar bear plunge will be on April 17th at 50 Blaine Avenue in Seaside Heights. The check-ins will start at 9 a.m. and the plunge will start right at 1 p.m. You will be able to bring donations to turn in on the day of the plunge. They advise you to bring a towel, a pair of old shoes or aquatic shoes for the water and dry replacement clothes.
