This chain and its sister stores have been barely holding on for quite some time.

Sears Holding Company owns K-Mart which have been shutting down left and right. Howell, Brick and Toms River locations have been closed and now we can add Wall to the list.

According to Ocean County Scanner News, the Wall K-Mart on Route 35 will shut its doors by the end of the year. As of now, the West Long Branch location will remain open.

Wall K-Mart shoppers should expect liquidation sales to begin soon. Unfortunately, with a store closing comes lost jobs. I wish the very best to those who will be looking for their next gig.

Brick and mortar retailers are struggling to compete with online operations like Amazon. According to USA Today, nearly nine months into 2019, retailers have announced more than 7,600 store closures nationally. That's up from 5,864 closings in 2018.
