A fire that broke out just before midnight (11:45 pm) last night completely engulfs a Trenton Avenue home on Route 35 in Lavallette near the oceanfront.

Fire crews worked for over three hours to bring the blaze under control that damaged four buildings, according to the East Dover Fire Company.

No injuries are being reported and the fire remains under investigation.

Further information on what caused the fire and other pertinent details are not yet available.

East Dover Fire Company Station 28 was requested to respond with The Island General Alarm which brought Station 44 Seaside Heights, Station 45 Seaside Park, Station 69 Lavallette, and Station 27 Ocean Beach and Point Pleasent Fire for the Initial FAST to the scene on the initial dispatch.

"While responding over the bridge the glow from the incident could be seen," East Dover Fire Company said on Facebook.

They worked with the other crews to douse the flames and prevent it from spreading any further than it already had to that point.

"Great work by all! We were glad to be able to assist our Brothers on the Beach," East Dover Fire Company said.
