Chris Hogan, former Monmouth University football player, is a wide receiver for the New England Patriots and played in the Super Bowl yesterday.

So how did Chris do? Well let's start with the obvious. He wakes up this morning as a world champion as the Patriots won the low scoring big game 13-3 yesterday in Atlanta, Georgia.

As for the wide receiver's stats, well there weren't many to talk of. But that's no surprise. Unless your name was Julian Edelman, who went on to win the game's MVP, you probably didn't see much of the football either.

Chris didn't catch a pass in this year's big game , but in a game that featured hardly any offense other that passes to Edelman (10 catches for 141 yards) and Rob Gronkowski (6 catches, 87 yards), that wasn't a surprise.

Patriot's quarterback Tom Brady only competed eleven passes to receivers not named Edelman. and 6 of those were to tight end Rob Gronkowski, so the opportunities were few and far between.

Hogan had a solid season, catching 35 passes for 532 yards and 3 touchdowns, according to the Patriot's website.

Hogan transferred from Penn State to Monmouth in 2011, and played both offense and defense. He played his high school ball at Ramapo, and Chris Hogan is now a world champion on the New England Patriots. Congratulations Chris!
