The annual award gala took place this past Friday night at Convention Hall to honor the outstanding business community and the people who have helped to make Asbury Park the unique and wonderful city that it is.

Kimmee Masi (Confections of a Rock$tar): Award for Entrepreneurial Excellence
Senator Vin Gopal: Public Service Award
The Asbury Park Music Foundation: Non-Profit of the Year

Tom Hayes (New Jersey Natural Gas) and Townsquare Media (94.3 The Point, New Jersey 101.5): The Joan Flatley Spirit of Asbury Park Award

A big thanks to Sylvia Sylvia, Jennifer Stein, and the Asbury Chamber for a wonderful evening and giving this award to Townsquare Media and Tom Hayes/ NJNG who sponsors our live shows from the Asbury Park Boardwalk each summer -- shows that include Lou & Liz every Friday morning from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day Weekend, Matt Ryan every Friday afternoon, Gino D. and other Point Personalities on the weekends, and Big Joe Henry and other beloved on-air personalities from NJ 101.5!

It takes a village to put together these shows, with thanks to Suzanne Kirby, Dennis Lamme, Steve Ardolina, Teddy Maturo and the his Promo team, the Board Ops including our beloved Asbury Park morning show producer Dan Alexander back at 'home base' in the studio, and so many more from our wonderful Townsquare family.

With an extra-big thank you to Tom Hayes from NJNG who works tirelesslly to make sure that the non-profits in our area who are doing their best to help our community get the recognition and support to continue to make Asbury Park as well as all of Monmouth and Ocean Counties better places to live for those in need.

A big thanks for the music to Des and the Swagmatics.

The gift auction proceeds benefited Coastal Habitat for Humanity.

And the delicious gourmet cuisine was provided by Frungillo Caterers.

More photos to follow...but thanks for this 'warm and fuzzy' moment, Lou.
