Marijuana Legalization At The Shore Runs Into Another Obstacle
It has been one of the big topics of discussion for New Jersey ever since Phil Murphy took office.
But now that it could really be a possibility, a recent survey of the 40 member Senate reveals that quite a small fraction of the group would choose to vote yes if the vote for marijuana legalization occurred today.
The breakdown is as follows:
YES - 5 Members
NO - 20 Members
UNSURE - 15 Members
Of course Murphy has made it known that he would sign the bill once it reaches it desk but it is looking like that might not even be a possibility.
While Christie was in office, he did not hide his negative feelings towards marijuana so I think Senate members were able to hide behind his opinion. Now that it is all out in the open, the decision is officially up to them.
I am seriously hoping this does not backfire.
