Hallelujah: Pizza Is Returning To The Asbury Park Boardwalk!

It is a dream come true.....pizza is finally coming to the Asbury Park boardwalk once again.

And who can we thank?

An area realtor and concert promoter named Sammy Boyd is partnering up with Domenic Maruca, owner of Maruca's Tomato Pies which has resided on the Seaside Heights boardwalk for over 40 years now and has made quite the name for themselves since then.

You know the pizza I'm talking about -- the tomato sauce in a spiral from the middle of the pie out to the crust!

Well this dynamic duo is going to be opening a Maruca's Tomato Pies on the Asbury Park boardwalk in time for THIS SUMMER!

“Pizza has been absent from the boardwalk for too long and I think this product will sell well. I think people will embrace the taste of a Maruca’s pizza,” Boyd said. “I have been watching the progress on the Asbury Park boardwalk and I think this is a great move and concept. I feel very good about this and am very optimistic this will be a success.”

For now, the new Maruca's Tomato Pies will be located in a pop-up unit near the boardwalk's mini golf course but there are plans to relocate to the 4th Avenue Pavilion for a more permanent and reliable business location.

People will be able to buy individual slices and whole pies with toppings. Are you ready for it -- because Domenic Maruca is.

"We have a great product, a great team, and a unique setting on the boardwalk in a great town. There’s the beach scene, the music scene, and the whole Asbury Park vibe has got me- I love the overall package,” Maruca said.
