Moms Day 5K and Extra Fun for Dads and Kids!

This race isn't just for moms...it's for kids, too...and the funniest race of all is for dads!

The Manasquan Elementary PTO is hosting a Mother's Day 5K on Saturday, May 10th, 2014, at 9 a.m.

There will be a One Mile Fun Run starting at 9 am, and a 5K Run starting at 10 am.

But the most fun part is a chance for dads to see just how hard it is to 'walk in Mom's shoes' with a Two Block Trot for men to run in women's high heels! Dads...this is where you can really give your wife and kids a big laugh!!!

This is a community event that relies on the spirit of volunteerism and the support of local businesses and the surrounding community.

Two pre-race registration events will be held at The Irish Rail, 299 Main Street, Manasquan. The first is this Friday night from 8 - 9 pm and will feature the music of Two Johns. The second date will be Thursday, May 1st, from 6 pm - 9 pm.

Pre-race packet pickup will be Friday, May 9th, from 6 pm - 9 pm at Edgar's Pub on Sea Girt Avenue in Manasquan.

All race day activities are at the Elks in Manasquan on the corner of Rt. 71 and Stockton Lake Blvd. Following the race there will be a family style barbeque and entertainment.

Those businesses that are able to sponsor this great fundraiser for Manasquan Elementary School: there is no donation to big or too small and the PTO, race committee, and volunteers thank you!
