Even though it may be hard to believe that any beach in Monmouth County could be a secret, it turns out that according to Mommy Poppins, 4 of the top 12 hidden gem beaches in New Jersey are in Monmouth County.

We don't really try to keep our beaches a secret, but isn't it nice to know that while the rest of the world is running elsewhere, we can tuck these beaches in our back pockets and enjoy a bit of serenity this summer.

Here are the Monmouth County Beaches that made the hidden gem list.

Spring Lake. It's hard for me to believe that the great Spring Lake is a secret, but if it is, good for us. It's a gorgeous stretch of beach and one of the most beautiful towns you'll find at the Jersey Shore.

Avon-By-The-Sea. This beach actually topped the list as the best "hidden gem" town in the Garden State, and it makes perfect sense. And anyplace that has The Macaroon Shop has to be awesome.

That's a nice representation of Monmouth County. Just remember, don't tell anyone. It's a secret.
