The power outage continues this morning for many Monmouth & Ocean County residents. So how many people are still without power?

According to the JCP&L Power Outage Map, as of this publication, there are still about 46,000 customers in Monmouth and Ocean Counties who are still waiting for the lights to go on.

Those numbers are drastically better than this time yesterday, when that total was about 165,000. From a geographic standpoint, the outages still remained scattered throughout both counties.

Here is the breakdown of customers without service in our area...

Monmouth County...35,264 (12.24% of the customers)

Ocean County...10,978 (4.37% of the customers)
