My Son’s View From the Stage at Count Basie
As Benj prepared for his first performance at the Count Basie Theatre, I got to nab a couple of photos.
If you ever wondered what the view from the stage is like at the historic Count Basie Theatre, I got this cool shot from the drummer's perspective (which, in this case, was my son during sound check.)
He got to perform with the Jazz Arts Project last night as part of a community celebration of performers that the Count Basie supports.
It was an incredible evening of music with some amazing talent and I loved getting to sit in the audience and just enjoy the moment.
Thank you to the folks at Count Basie Theatre for bringing us such a great show last night. Here's to many more : )
And a special thanks to Joe Muccioli for heading the Jazz Arts Project to keep jazz music alive for another generation.
