Yes, National New Jersey Day Is A Real Thing
So, have you made any plans for National New Jersey Day? What, you haven’t? Well you better get moving. It’s only two weeks away.
Wait, what are we talking about here? Is there really a National New Jersey Day? Yes, in fact there is, and it’s coming up July 27th. Don’t you hate when National New Jersey Day falls on a weekday.
Personally, I always like it better when we can make a three day week out of it. I only hope there isn’t a mad rush at the train stations and airports. And I hope all the state offices stay open. We’re already so far behind.

Yes I’m being a little sarcastic here, but did you even know there was a National New Jersey Day? Me either.
It actually is a holiday invented by a holiday calendar, and it’s alright with me to celebrate the state I love. But what is going to happen on that day? No taxes? Free tolls? I don’t think so.
And just to confuse things a little more, there is actually another official day called New Jersey Day, which celebrates the day the Garden State got its name. That special day falls on June 24th. It’s a regular holiday season around here.
I guess if we’re going to celebrate our state, it might as well be in the summer, when we are at our best. So here’s to hoping you have a great National New Jersey Day. Don’t spend too much on gifts. Remember the true meaning of the holidays.
