The American Heart Association wants you to wear red to help save women's lives and bring attention to the leading killers of women – heart disease and stroke.

National Wear Red Day is right around the corner. It takes place next Friday, February 5th, and the American Heart Association wants the day to serve as a reminder to women to pay attention to the ways to reduce risk factors of heart disease and stroke.

We had a visit from Catherine Zalewski and Joan Ferraro, both from Monmouth County to share their incredible stories. Catherine is a two-time stroke survivor, mother, former Mrs. NJ and exercise expert and Joan is a heart disease survivor. She flat lined several times and was brought back because of CPR and an AED.

Please check out their amazing stories on the video below and please participate in this very important day Go Red For Women and help save lives.
