After a 24 hour period with brutal winds throughout our area, there are still well over one thousand JCP&L customers still without power in Monmouth County this morning.

JCP&L reports on their outage map that 1,439 customers are without power this morning, and an additional 233 Ocean County customers have no power. The outages are relatively evenly spread throughout Monmouth County.

Of course, any outages that required a crew were most likely delayed due to the persistent and dangerous winds that were slow to die down last night.

You can stay up to date on outages throughout the area by checking the JCP&L Power Outage Map, and you can also report outages in your area through the website as well, or you can call JCP&L at 1(888) LIGHTSS.

The good news is that today's forecast says we'll have 'breezy' conditions, which is a huge step up from the strong winds we've been enduring over the past day or so here at the Jersey Shore.
