As you followed the updates of this storm leading up to it, each forecast seemed to get worse. It went from snow to Winter Storm Warning to bomb cyclone in the blink of an eye.
And just when you felt like it was winding down, more bands of heavy snow would form, and the snow piled higher and higher.
When the official totals are logged in, we will undoubtedly have lived through a record-breaking winter storm in the Garden State.
Power Outages In New Jersey Due To Winter Storm
As the storm pummeled our state, the only thing that rose faster than the snow totals was the total number of households without power.

At one point, there were nearly 60 million Americans under winter weather warnings involving several states.
No area has been hit harder than the Jersey Shore, where on Monday, 2/23, thousands were without power, heat, and any way of leaving their homes.
New Jersey's Blizzard of 2026 Will Be Among The State's Largest Storms
The outages toward the tail end of the storm numbered over 121,000 households in the Garden State, and conditions made it nearly impossible to correct the outages due to wind speed and heavy snow.
Let this storm be a reminder of how Mother Nature can be, and how much New Jersey residents miss having their toes in the warm sand of a Jersey Shore beach.
