The data was reported by Newsweek, and while Rhode Island, Florida, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts made their way to the top 5, no state made more noise than the Garden State.
Since our neighbors to the west also made the top 5, I feel like our region owes the rest of the nation an apology for all the noise we're creating.
What's The Quietest State In America?
Not every state in the nation is making major deposits at the bank of loudness. There are plenty of quiet states in America.

Exactly no one is surprised that Alaska ranks as the quietest state in the nation, with Minnesota and Montana right behind.
In the study, each state was given a noise shore, and ours in New Jersey was, well, fughettaboutit.
Maybe we didn't come here to the Garden State for peace. Maybe we came for nice people, beaches, boardwalks, and the best pizza in the world. And no one is going to be quiet about that.
