The subject that may be ruffling our feathers this time around is junk food, and the origin of the trouble seemed to start innocently enough.

The folks at Dallas Weekly published a list of the top junk foods in each state in America.

Kansas has ice cream, Utah loves candy, and South Dakota residents are often found with a mouth full of chips.

When you get around to reading what New Jersey's top junk food is, you find out it's the same as 24 other states. So far, no controversy.

But when you hear what the food is, that's when the trouble begins. You see, in New Jersey, pizza is not junk food.

Yodels are junk food. Moon Pies are junk food, as are gummy worms. But pizza is not. at least not around here.

If you are going to put pizza in the same category as Cool Ranch Doritos, you should probably find another place to eat.

Anyone who thinks New Jersey pizza is junk food has almost certainly never eaten New Jersey pizza.

The study states that pizza is the number one junk food in America. Perhaps Michigan pizza, but not pizza originating from the Garden State. Time for a recount.
