NJ’s Cold Snap: Will We Break December’s Record Low Temperatures?
If you think we are in the area of record cold temperatures in New Jersey to kick off December, the historic record lows will put a chill through your bones.
We have been waking up to some extremely cold temperatures throughout the Garden State the past few days, and the daytime temperatures haven't done much to warm things up.
How Close Are We Coming To Record Lows This Week?
But, when we dug into the record lows for the first week of December in New Jersey, we realized that we have nothing to complain about this week.
Overnight lows throughout this week will dip below freezing each night, but they will not dip into record-low depths.
As hard as it is to believe, our temperatures this week won't even come close to "first week of December" lows in the Office of the New Jersey State Climatologist record books.

December 2, 1946...16 degrees
December 3, 1976...9 degrees.

December 6, 1954...17 degrees
December 7, 1954...16 degrees.
I guess after seeing those numbers we should count our blessings.
