How Families Can Stay Cool This Week

With temperatures expected to feel like over 100 degrees by the end of the week, if you're looking for a fun way to beat the heat with the kids, there's an easy outing the entire family can enjoy.

As much as I love being outside during the summer months, there are some days when the heat is just too much to handle.

When it's this hot, sometimes it's just easier to stay inside in the air conditioning, but that's why splash pads are perfect, especially if you have younger kids.

How about letting the kids run through the water, splash around, and burn off some energy, all while keeping cool?!

There are several splash pads across New Jersey, and what I think is great is that several are free, while some do charge an admission fee. I drove past one recently at Johnson's Corner Farm in Medford. It looked so fun! I called to get more information, and they said it's open every day, weather permitting.

What a great way to cool off!
