There is always going to be a debate when you try to name the best beach in a state that is so proud of every one of its beaches. That apparently does not stop us from trying.

There are a thousand different opinions on this topic, and every one of them has truth to it, so even though there are many answers to this question, it's hard to believe there is just one right answer.

When a major publication like Travel Channel throws its opinion into the mix, it does carry some extra weight. They do know a thing or two about the topic.

Even though naming New Jersey's best beach is a daunting task, they took it on, and they do have a winner.

They have chosen the beautiful beach at Stone Harbor as the best one in the state. Let the debate begin.

The site raves about the activities in town and its family-friendliness, which is all true. But isn't it also true about a dozen other great Jersey Shore beaches?

Of course, it is. The fact of the matter is picking one New Jersey beach as the best in the state is like choosing one ravioli in the bowl as your all-time favorite. There really are no right or wrong answers.

Is the correct answer Stone Harbor? Yes. Is the right answer Sandy Hook? It is. Is Point Pleasant Beach the beach you can't miss? Absolutely. You get my point, right?

I know we'll argue over which is the best beach in New Jersey, but it's fine to think your favorite is the best. After all, this is a nice problem to have.
