New Poll Names the 10 Favorite Monmouth/Ocean Beaches

The NJ Sea Grand Consortium will announce their 2018 "Favorite Beaches" poll results today, but we have the Monmouth/Ocean County results here first!

Thousands of voters participated in this year's survey following the radio debut of the survey right here on our morning show on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend.

The survey was first created in 2008 and was initially called "New Jersey's Top Ten Beaches," but the title was recently changed to better recognize every part of our wonderful coastline.

So, along with 'overall picks', individual winners from all four coastal counties of the Garden State are now recognized.

Here are the official winners for Monmouth and Ocean Counties:

TOP 5 FAVORITE BEACHES IN MONMOUTH COUNTY:

1st: Asbury Park

2nd: Sandy Hook - Gateway National Park

3rd: Spring Lake

4th: Belmar

5th: Long Branch

TOP 5 FAVORITE BEACHES IN OCEAN COUNTY:

1st: Seaside Heights

2nd: Beach Haven

3rd: Point Pleasant Beach

4th: Ship Bottom

5th: Island Beach State Park
