If you were to look in my closet you would see a sparkly Yankees ball cap and at least 3 T-shirts to match.  However, when I heard about what this New York Mets pitcher was doing, it almost had me running to Citi Field.

If you're a pet parent you are just going to love this!  Max Scherzer and his wife, Erica Scherzer are offering to pay the adoption fees for all dogs weighing more than 30 pounds at St. Hubert’s until Sunday, June 12th.

That is such a sweet and needed gesture because the shelter is filled to max capacity.

They over 40 dogs patiently waiting for homes.  Large dogs are more difficult to get adopted.  If you want to bring home a new furry family member this is a perfect time.  If you are unable to adopt, the shelter is so full they are also actively looking for temporary foster homes.
