When the concept for the Monmouth County Child Advocacy Center was presented to us we knew it was important for us to get involved.

The idea of creating this crucial and safe place for local abused children to go to get the best care possible with the least amount of additional trauma to them and their families was so critical that we created a a live radiothon that was added to the other fundraising efforts of the Friends of the Monmouth County Child Advocacy Center.

Through all of their fundraising efforts, the group was able to complete Phase 1 of the Advocacy Center, which now serves the community by handling approximately 400 cases a year. Now the focus is in the completion of Phase 2 of the Center, which will expand the facility to include a medical suite, therapy rooms and additional office space.

We were joined this morning by Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Chris Grammiccioni as well as Monmouth County Freeholder Lillian Burry and Terry Loftus from the Friends of the Monmouth County Child Advocacy Center to discuss the importance of the expansion of the Center.
