For me, there has always been something special about sitting down in a fancy Chinese restaurant, taking in the ambience, and enjoying a great meal. Somehow, the food always tasted better.

Don't get me wrong, a great take-out Chinese place is great too, but I love the experience of sitting there and having the restaurant experience.

So, when I went to grab a bite at Peking Pavilion in Manalapan, I knew immediately that I had found my new favorite sit-down Chinese restaurant.

As soon as I walked in the door, I saw everything I love in a Chinese restaurant. It was serene, tastefully decorated, and smelled great.

Of course, there is no way to crown the best Chinese sit-down restaurant in New Jersey without the key ingredient, great food.

I was so in love with the restaurant before I ate that I was rooting for the food to take it over the top, and I wasn't disappointed.

Great Choices On The Peking Pavilion Menu

I wanted to try everything, so I opted for one of Peking Pavilion's most popular entrees, the Pavilion's Three Delicacies.

It was loaded with chicken, beef, shrimp, and vegetables in a garlic sauce that was not too overwhelming. It was absolutely delicious.

My only disappointment was that I was too full to try a second entree. Next time I'm going to dig into the Ishiyaki Filet Mignon. This 12-ounce beauty is served with Asian vegetables and sounds incredible.

I wrapped up the meal with a Sake called Sho Chiku Bai Junmai Ginjo, a dry cocktail with pear, melon, and honeysuckle flavors. Wow.

If you want to give Peking Pavilion a try, they're at Route 33 in Manalapan, and there is plenty of parking. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
