I Think New Jersey Is More Haunted Than Experts Suggest And Here’s Why
If you have ever spent a night in a bed and breakfast in Cape May, you're not going to believe the results of a study ranking the most haunted states in America.
Paranormal Activity In Cape May, New Jersey
I have been to Cape May more times than I can count, and I can safely say that 50% of the times I've been there, I've personally experienced something paranormal.
I've experienced everything from doors slamming closed by themselves, to creaking steps, to actual human-like figures.

So, when the experts at Love Exploring say New Jersey is the 38th most haunted state in America, I find it hard to believe.
Cape May Is Notorious For Haunted Places
I'm sure the stats and the are correct, but until you've been in a room where things are moving, then that ranking means nothing, at least at that moment.
And Cape May is not the only place where ghost stories are big news. The Garden State is home to both one of America's most haunted roads and one of the country's most haunted houses.

The Seabrook-Wilson House is considered by many to be the most haunted house in America. And Clinton Road in West Milford is widely considered the most haunted road in the nation, and maybe even the world.
The Most Haunted Places In New Jersey
These are just a few examples of the most haunted places in the state, and I can't help but wonder if these places shouldn't catapult us to the top of the most haunted states list.
Deep down, I don't want to get the New Jersey spirits upset. If they don't like the ranking, they may become even more active, and I don't want that.

For the record, New Mexico was named the most haunted state in the country, followed by Michigan, and Idaho was named the least haunted.
