Love decorating for Halloween and Thanksgiving? Do you embrace apple and pumpkin-picking? Turns out we love autumn more than almost every state in the country.

After our usual hot and humid summers, it's no wonder we love fall so much. In fact, new data shows that we rank #5 in the nation for most fall spirit!

I mean, who doesn't love a drive through Princeton to check out the changing leaves, Eastmont Orchards for apple-picking, and a trip to Atlantic Farms for hayrides and pumpkins to bring home and carve?

Trips To Discover has come out with a list of most fall-obsessed and New Jersey ranks in fifth place for how passionate we are about fall AND we are also no. 5 for the most pumpkin patches!

Personally, it's my favorite season and the reason that I wouldn't want to live in a place like Florida where it's hot all year round. Afterr all, what could be better than sweatshirt weather and cuddly boots while drinking hot cider from Delicious Orchards?

So who ranks lowest for Autumn spirit? Hawaii and Alaska. And who ranks #1 for most fall-obsessed? New Hampshire. That makes sense....who doesn't love New England in the fall???? I used to love staying in a log cabin inn in Vermont during leaf-changing season. (I must make that happen again!!!)

A couple of fun fall facts from this study:

-- Vermont ranks #1 for most pumpkin patches

-- Colorado residents drink the most pumpkin spice-lattes

-- Rhode Island ranks first in the country for holding the most fall activities.

So...Here are the Top 5 Most Fall-Obsessed States:

5. New Jersey

4. Rhode Island

3. Wyoming

2. Vermont

1. New Hampshire

What's your favorite thing about Fall? Do you do a road trip to New England for the changing of the leaves?
