It turns out that you will not only be happy with our ranking, but you’re going to love reading about which lunch meal is the favorite of New Jersey students.
According to a report released earlier this year by ProCare, New Jersey school lunches rank 10th in the nation, and that’s not bad.
How Is New Jersey Ranked For School Lunches?
The five criteria used to determine the rankings included farm-to-school program participation, National School Lunch Program lunches served per 10,000 students, fruit consumption, vegetable consumption, and sugary drink consumption.
Although New York and Pennsylvania made the top 20, New Jersey’s #10 ranking topped the tri-state area.
And when it came to the top lunch choice in our state, New Jersey broke new ground by becoming the only state to make ravioli its top lunch choice.
