We all get email and text spam, but are New Jersey residents doing the right things to get it to stop?

It happens to me all the time. I get a text alert and check my phone only to find out it’s from someone I don’t know selling me something I don’t want.

Should NJ Residents Report Spam Texts?

If you delete those text messages or emails, that might not be enough to thwart the problem.

According to HuffPost, the experts say you should hit the “delete and report junk button”.
That doesn't just delete the post but alerts your carrier to investigate that message to determine if it’s spam.

Doing this one step, however, will not stop that number from messaging you again.
To do that, you have to block the number as well. If you want to stop being bothered by that number and help ensure that others might not have to deal with it, you should take both steps.

Know What To Do When You Get A Spam Text

So the next time sends you a text saying “Bob, here’s the estimate for the work you inquired about”, you’ll know two things.
