It's less than a month away!

April 26th is the day of the grand opening of the Homeward Bound Adoption Center at Freehold Raceway Mall.....in the spot where the pet store used to be next to Sears.

Finally the Western area of Monmouth County has easier access to all of the wonderful, adoptable animals that the SPCA has to offer.

The Monmouth County SPCA hopes to start a new trend by opening the Homeward Bound Adoption Center at Freehold Raceway Mall….in place of the pet store. This after the Macerich Company announced that they would ban the sale of animals from pet stores in more than 70 malls across the U.S.

The news that Freehold Raceway Mall wouldn’t be renewing the lease of the pet store left a wonderful opportunity open for the Monmouth County SPCA to offer adoptions of rescued pets.

Not only will the MCSPCA bring in dogs and cats for adoption, but they also provide education on puppy mill awareness, spaying and neutering and even Trap, Neuter and Release programs.

AND they will also bring in rescued KITTENS to find their forever homes.

The MCSPCA is working hard at making sure the same quality standards of care and service will take place at the mall as it does at their main facility in Eatontown. All of the same procedures will be followed at the mall as well as having all members of the store team trained at the Eatontown facility. The store will have vet techs on every shift and are establishing relationships with vets that are close to Freehold for immediate care of any animals in need.

The mall location will also sell a full line of dog, cat, puppy and kitten supplies as well as trinkets and goodies for your pets. The Woofs’n Whiskers Boutique will help support the homeless animals of the MCSPCA.
