It's candy overload time!

Between all the truck-or-treat events in town, neighborhood parties, and the endless amounts of candy the kids received trick-or-treating, we're all sugared up here in New Jersey with enough candy to last a lifetime.

If you're sick to your stomach just thinking about all the Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Sour Patch Kids, and Hershey Bars you've had in recent days maybe you're looking to get rid of it, or at least some of it.

Don't throw it away!

Instead, you can spread some holiday joy to our troops by donating your leftover Halloween candy to Operation Shoebox.

Your candy will be shipped in personal care packages to members of the U.S. military stateside and those deployed overseas.

Operation Shoebox, founded in 2005, has been holding a Halloween candy donation drive for the past 19 years, and they're accepting all types of candy.

"Each care package we send out includes a bag of candy as a sweet reminder of home."

Donations can be dropped off at Operation Shoebox New Jersey headquarters.

It's located in Building 1 at the MidPoint Logistics Center (formerly Veterans Industrial Park), at 152 Route 206 South in Hillsborough.

Just follow the signs for Operation Shoebox New Jersey.

Candy can be deposited in bins in the vestibule if no one is in the office, or you can schedule a drop-off.

You have plenty of time to get there to drop off your extra Halloween candy.

They're accepting donations all this month into early December.
