A Pennsylvania man has been charged with careless driving and failure to maintain his lane after veering across Cedar Bridge Avenue on Saturday night and crashing into another vehicle.

Brick Police said that Anthony Natiello, 57, of Forty Fort, PA was heading west on Cedar Bridge Avenue in a 2010 yellow Chevrolet Corvette near the Target parking lot when he crossed the center double yellow line and crashed into a red 2002 Ford F-150 driven by Richard Getts, 25, of Brick who had just crossed through the intersection at Wedgewood Avenue.

Getts went off road as a result of the collision and spun around counter clockwise before hitting the curb and a sign leading to his F-150 overturning onto the sidewalk and the shoulder of the road.

He suffered an injury to his right arm while his front seat passenger suffered a nose and arm injury and the back seat passenger was treated at the scene and transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, NJ with head, neck and back injuries.

An ongoing investigation is being conducted by Ptl. Thergesen and Ptl. Lampiasi of the Brick Township Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or who has information pertaining to the crash is asked to contact Ptl. Thergesen at (732) 451-2037.
