Meet Paradise, our Point Pet of the Week.

Paradise is about 3-years old and a Terrier mix. His last family kept him outside so now that he is at the Monmouth County SPCA he finally gets to enjoy snuggling up indoors where he is safe and warm.

But Paradise needs a forever home. Although he can be shy when first meeting new people, if you are patient with him he will become your best friend. Paradise is sensitive and likes a nice, quiet setting where things are calm and relaxing.

Paradise is scared of children, which is why his last family had to give him up, so this sweet dog will need to live in home with just adults. He is very energetic and loves to take long walks in the park.

This beautiful animal has made lots of new human friends now that he is at the MCSPCA and they have taken him out for play time and games of fetch. He's also smart and is learning some basic commands. And he loves to get treats when he performs! He also loves it when he gets his sides scratched and simply adores being pet. He'll lean right into you for more!

If you'd like to meet Paradise, please visit him at the Eatontown location, 260 Wall Street, 7 days a week from Noon - 5 pm with additional hours Wednesdays until 7 pm. Call 732-542-4552 or email adoptions@monmouthcountyspca.org.

Also coming up, the MCSPCA has a special outreach on Saturday, Sept. 17th at MJs in Neptune from Noon - 3 pm. It's Bring Your Dog to MJ's Day! This is a family and pet friendly event. There will be a BBQ & Beer Garden, a DJ, Pet Pictures with Santa, Dog Agility/Obstacle Course, Therapy Dog Demonstrations, plus many other pet vendors. MJs is donating a portion of the net proceeds back to the MCSPCA. 3205 Rt. 66, Neptune (732-918-9700).
