Pet Valu Stores Are Closing For Good Due To Covid
Another victim of the pandemic -- and this one is a loss for your pets.
It has been announced that all Pet Valu stores, including locations in Manasquan, Shrewsbury, Manalapan, Toms River and Jackson, will be 'winding down' operations and closing the entire chain.
Although this pet supply chain of stores has been around for 25 years (I frequented the Manasquan location on Rt. 34 to get supplies for my cats) Pet Value was no match for the pandemic and Covid restrictions, so the difficult decision has been made to begin the process of closing the stores.
That doesn't mean you won't still get the same great in-store experience while they'e still open. In fact, you might want to head there right away and snatch up your favorite dog and cat items while you still can, because you will be able to come across some "everything must go" great deals.
Store-closing sales begin today, Nov. 5th. I know I'll be running over to stock up. Pet Points Plus members will be able to accrue points toward awards through Nov. 21st, but your rewards must be used by Dec. 13th. Gift cards must also be used by Dec. 13th and can't be exchanged for cash. Senior and military discounts are no longer available.
You will no longer being able to order products through Pet Valu online.
And, of course, our hearts go out to all of those employees who will lose their jobs by the time the stores close. This is sad news.
