Pink Your Ride to Save Lives in May

Coming up next month, lots of local towns are getting a paint job.

From Atlantic Pinklands to Forked Pink...lots of folks are painting their towns pink, and you can get in on the action with the upcoming Pink Your Ride Day! You might even win a great prize!

It's all part of a campaign by Meridian Health to raise awareness of the importance of annual mammograms, a test that can save lives through the early detection of breast cancer.

Coming up on Saturday, April 26th, the Point Crew will be at Monmouth Mall in Eatontown for Pink your Ride Day from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. They'll be handing out goodies like magnets and window clings so you can officially 'Pink Your Ride.'

If you decorate your car ahead of time (think window markers, streamers, etc...), you could enter the P.Y.R. contest (judged by our own Lou Russo among others) for the chance to win a Pandora bracelet!

And since it's all about mammography awareness: If you're 40 or older, get the test. Yes, it can be awkward and uncomfortable, but it could be the difference that keeps you around for years to come. Even if you don't have insurance, there are programs that can help you!.
